off day is wat i always look forward too..

30/8/06 ---- last week my off day was great cos is ladies nite out.. but the rain just spoil e day..
giraffe is a restuarant bar.. the ambience was suppose to be great but u know huh.. rain just spoil everything. al-fresco dining is suppose to be available but due to the wet weather and place. we have to sit indoor.nt so comfortable i feel actually but nah..it is ok since we having main course. erin and i met up first cos i wanna head to LaSenza at suntec to exchange some personal items which i bought the weekend before with dardar.(opps) the rain made travelling so difficult.we waited for kareen and linda for some time.both of us was like hungry ghost.keep lookin at menu but cant order.dey dun serve ice water too. (good idea though). they arrived and we made our following orders.
all - nachos w/ melted chz. i like it. very diff from those in cinemas. the chz is melted on a mountain of nachos. top with some greenish stuff, tomato and green pepper. shld try. advice: wash hands and eat with hands. haa~
kareen - tandori chix w/ mash potato. the dish just look so like char siew. she mention abt the dish looking like char siew without any idea that it was goin to be wat she will be eating. haa. we kept laughing. the taste was alright actually.
linda - chix cutlet w/ mash potato and shitake mushroom. not bad cos the chix is quite tender and not very dry.good choice actually.
erin - jap style salmon w/ pasta. quite nice. sth like jap meet italy. yummy. the salmon was big. i believe this is the best dish among all. also the most x. haa.
myself - tom yam w/ pasta. i was rather disappointed. nt much of taste of tom yam. the potion was rather small too. i added tobasco sauce to enhance the spicy taste. end up,i added too much making it taste like pasta with tobasco. haa. smart me.
overall rating for ambience - 7/10(due to rain)
overall rating for makan - 6/10
but a nice place to hang out for drinking for sure. try it.
after activities was indecisive. ben & jerry ice-cream? indochine? drinks? dessert? ktv? so we just walk towards orchard and stop by rouge. rouge more for makan i guess so we went acid bar. not bad but the seat given to us was not very comfy. difficult to talk sitting in a row. weird. check-out balcony but event goin on so (tenn..) lazy to walk so we walked into NYDC for dessert. haa.
2 drinks and 2 cakes pls. i not sure why but watever i ordered on that day is so disappointing. mudpie w/ baileys without a taste of baileys. sad right? wat they ordered was not bad.. wat a day for me.
EOD: poor erin gotta take cab on her own. 3 others shared a cabby.home sweet home.

2/8/06 --- workin as usual. been workin afternoon for more than a week. why cant i work other shift? man.. so tired. tis wed i will start my cool midnite shift. yea! so excited. haha. finally i meet up with dardar. both of us feel like we have not meet for few weeks. we hug each other so tight when we saw each other. sweet of him to drive down to fetch me when he can actually rest home after a week of marchin. i believe he is tryin hard to compromise with my timing too. thx. now that my job is more stable. we rarely meet esp when i workin afternoon/night shift. even if he nights out. meetin is impossible. sorry my dearest. will try to meet up with u whenever i can esp now that u might work 8-5. even u r free, i mite not be. pardon me okay? it is part of my job. promise i will nv forget you. in case of anytime i forgot sth. pardon me pls. so we spend some quiet time tgt. makan @ newton circus where i met my bunch of close polymates. miss dem too. glad to bump into them. hehe. after that dardar decided to head to west coast for strolling. he piggy-back me, hands in hands walkin ard the park, sit in the car, listen to music, forgo any unhappiness and work for a while. enjoy that short moment with him. that is wat i mean quality time is better than quantity time. i just love him and want him so much in my life. *huggies*
